We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Commercial construction. The position will require that the individual be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, individually, as a team member, or both. The individual must be able to establish accurate estimates from CD level through Hard Bid and have a comprehensive understanding of the scopes involved.

Estimator’s Duties & Responsibilities to include:

• Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
• Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product
• Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
• Creating labor estimates for any project
• Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
• Managing bids from vendors and contractors
• Using bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis
• Writing detailed proposals
• Help compile and maintain a cost database
• Help to maintain the SmartBid database

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in engineering, architecture or have commensurate experience
• Proficiency in mathematics and data analysis
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects
• Expertise with analytic tools, such as MS Office (Excel), OST or Planswift, SmartBid
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional time management skills
• Dependable, conscientious, and well spoken
